Edina! Scotia’s darling seat!
All hail thy palaces and tow’rs;
Where once, beneath a Monarch’s feet,
Sat Legislation’s sovereign pow’rs:
From marking wildly-scatt’red flow’rs,
As on the banks of Ayr I stray’d,
And singing, lone, the ling’ring hours,
I shelter in thy honour’d shade.
– Robert Burns, ‘Address to Edinburgh’
Many a poet has described the beauty of Edinburgh, and here at nylon HQ we are very excited about our imminent trip up to Scotland to perform at an event at Anthropologie’s absolutely beautiful George Street store as part of a programme of arts events that the company is running in celebration of the Edinburgh Festival.
So folks, for one night only (ok, day only), if you are in Edinburgh – whether it’s your own ‘darling seat’, or if, like us, you are visiting for the Festival – pop by and see us perform at 2pm and 5pm on Saturday the 4th of August.
Anthropologie, 39 – 41 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2HN
We’d love to see you there!
(And if anyone has any suggestions for shows or venues to check out, or perhaps a watering hole to quench the post-performance thirst, please do let us know!!)
